Ike and the Stormettes

Storms
That's a National Hurricane Center image of currently active tropical-type storms: Tropical Depression Gustav is parked over Texarkana. Out in the Caribbean and Atlantic, Tropical Storms Hanna, Ike, and Josephine (from west to east) are conga-lining toward the North America neighborhood. Those latter three storms are all expected to reach hurricane status before making landfall ... somewhere.

I'm hoping Hannah blasts up the coast through Maryland dumping some much needed rain. I've got 22 mows this year and I want to break my record! (29 in 2005)
K-

I think Gustav did more damage on land after he was downgraded. Probably spite. He dumped a ton of rain.

We've got some kind of Canadian thing going on here. Feels nice. The weather guy at Lincoln said wherever Gustav meets the Canadian air mass will get two to four inches of rain. Or something like that. In any event, I don't think it'll be Springfield.

It's Thursday, September 11 and the current forecast has Hurricane Ike slamming into the Texas Coast like a ton of bricks late Friday/early Saturday. By the afternoon, a Category 1 storm will be slapping the shit out of Dallas/Fort Worth.

Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be in a hurricane here in Fort Worth.

Dang!
