Last Images

How are news photographer's different from the rest of us? The New York Times has a gripping and graphic account of Benazir Bhutto's last rally from a photographer who probably shot the last images before she was attacked:

Dan, I looked at that earlier this morning. Incredibly powerful.

For most people, photography is like baseball and writing. We all think we can do it as well as the professionals. Yet here's the proof we can't. Even his out-of-focus motor drive shots speak volumes.

Those images are amazing. Kem is right about professional versus amateur photographers. Most pictures from professional photojournalists ARE worth a thousand words.
